May Giveaway
I'm doing something a little different for May's Giveaway. One of my favourite sites Sew, Mama, Sew is having a giveaway day. The Giveaway is running from May 27th-May 31st. I am starting my giveaway today. To pick the prize, I have gone through all the previous giveaway comments and the Optic Blossom Side Tie Tote stood out as a favourite every month. This will be the giveaway bag this month. To enter just leave a comment on this post about what you like or dislike in my shop, what fabric you love right now or what kind of closure you prefer in a bag ie. magnetic snap, zipper, etc. After you've left your comment make sure to click on the Sew, Mama, Sew link to enter all the other giveaways. My contest ends May 31st at 11:00 p.m. EST. It is open internationally and the winner will be picked using Random.org. Good luck everyone!

I really like your EveryDay country bag. Something about those blue colors.... but really like all the bags.... hard to pick just one. Amy Butler's fabric, just gorgeous. Arent's they? I also prefer zipper in my bags.... I tend to spill all the time.

I think ever type of closure has its perpose! im a big fan of your use of colors!
I love the everyday bad, the shape. I like bags that close - either zipper or magnetic. But not button & loop or other non sturdy closures.

I love the tote bags. I'm a newish mom and need big bags these days for all the baby stuff! I'm a big fan of all fabrics by Amy Butler. And I prefer zippers (it keeps everything in the bag, especially when I'm flying and need to shove the bag under the seat in front of me.)

Wow! I am loving this giveaway day because more then anything it is introducing me to awesome artists like yourself. I really appreciate how your etsy shop has clear categories, it makes it so much easier to find what I am looking for when I am shopping. I LOVE anything with pleats so quite a few of your bags are going on my wishlist!
I love the Amy Butler oranges fabric, I like a magnetic closure.
I really like the peek-a-boo bag. I agree that different bags/size and flaps all play a role in the appropriate closure. Lately I'm enjoying using the sew-in invisible magnetic closures that get placed between the layers of fabric. These work great especially when a flap is used.

I LOVE the County Fair Ribbon Messenger Bag! As far as fabrics - I absolutely cannot name a favorite - I am in absolute fabric obsession stage right now as I have just begun sewing. So far as closures - I think I prefer magnetic clasps - but only until zippers don't scare me any longer LOL! Thanks for the opportunity to win this bag!

Beautiful bag! I like a magnetic closure, but find myself needing a zipper with toddlers around who like to dump my bags upside down.
I love the chocolate bag with the green diamonds because it reminds me of the pillows I have on my bed. I do like snaps instead of zippers as they are easier to get into when your phone rings.

I love the give-away bag! The fabric choices are so pretty! I like zipper closures on bags that I use on a daily basis, magnetic snaps work better for me on special bags.

There's nothing to dislike about your shop! Everything there is great! I could use a new purse or tote as mine is ripping on the inside (and I loved this mini bowling bag style purse). I love the everyday Amy B. purse (pinks)

You have fabulous taste and your work is great! I really love the messenger bag and am not personally a fan of the patchwork look on bags. I prefer magnetic closures simply because I never take the time to zip my purses, so magnets are the only chance they have at ever being closed...

you make fantastic looking bags. I like magnetic or other quick to close bags though with a small child in the house I tend to need a zip on my handbag (probably with a lock as well!)

I really love the Double Pleat Bag with Sash in Trailing Cherry Sand. It's pretty and roomy! In a tote I like magnetic closures, but a purse has to have a zipper! My purse is huge, so it needs a wide, long shoulder strap.

Oh I love this bag! I prefer a magnetic snap closure on a bag. A zipper is handy too. It's nice to have at least one zippered section to keep important stuff safe.

I love your store, your bags and purses are gorgeous!!! Love the way that you mix and match all of the gorgeous fabrics too, you must have a great eye as they all seem to work so well.
Just a small suggestion on how to improve your store though, you have such amazing products but your store banner is very pixelated. I would love to see a better quality image in there....it would really make your store 'pop' :D
On bag closings, being a mum my bag is often thrown around and knocked over by the little ones, so I would much prefer a zipper! I hate having to gather up all of my belongings when they fall out LOL :D

Honestly, I love free stuff and I especially like your beautiful fabric choices. Zippers are the best closures for purses because they are the most secure.

As a mom I seem to need inside pockets to hold all the goodies my children need and those are great!

I like that all the bags in your shop are serious "mommy" bags. We gotta carry a lot of stuff around with us when toting around toddlers! My fave fabric lately is flannel, but that's just because I've been working on a lot of jammies for my little one! And my favourite enclosure would have to be Velcro (easy access) and I have a pacemaker, so I tend to avoid anything magnetic.
I'm loving that Amy Butler. I just started a quilt using those watery colours as inspiration.

As a closure on bags, depending on the model, I like zippers best and close second is the strap-button closure.

I like your black & white Everyday Bag. As for bag closure, I like a zipper closure with a foldover flap with a magnetic snap, for extra security when traveling.

I love your amy butler double pleat bag, very pretty. Although practically i like a bag with a zip for security and that i can sling around my neck on one shoulder (ie that will sit comfortable hands free), with two littlies i don't have the hand and coordination to carry a pretty hand bag away. So messenger style is what i would buy.

Oh, I ALWAYS need a zipper closure, that way when I bend over to pick up the 100th thing my child has dropped, I don't add my bag contents all over the ground :-)

I think my favorite item was the patchwork A-line purse. And I love how much variety is in your shop--a variety of fabric and bag/wallet styles. I like a purse that has a zipper or snap to keep it closed because having an open bag makes me nervous in my neighborhood! :)

I refuse to buy anything with a magnet closure - somehow, at least one credit card spontaneously demagnetizes.
I'd rather have an open top than a magnet, but with my crazy life, a zipper is always best.

I found two bags in your shop that I just love. The first is the patchwork a-line purse in pinks. The second it the Peekaboo Purse but I would want it in reds. My favorite fabrics right now are in red colors with jumbo prints. As for my favorite colsure I love a magnetic snap.
Magnetic closures all the way for me, they are easier to open & instal. I really like your bag in Amy Butler fabric with the sash.
Love all your bags. I was really taken with the Fresh Start Seafoam fabric. If I had a choice I would love a bag in that, but a diaper bag. Have you thought about diaper bags? I am always on the look out for a fun daiper bag.

I love the patchwork a line purse! I love patchwork, but do not have the patience to do it myself. I prefer any closure that is quick to do. If the purse has a flap, use a magnetic closure. If it is without flap, either makes me happy! Thanks for this giveaway!
